Weekly Notes

A Peek At The Week

This week we will begin working on the letter "F". With Thanksgiving in mind we will be talking about Friends and Family as we study F. We will also be working on our triangle shape this week. If you have not had a chance to send in hands or pictures for your Family Turkeys it is not too late! These do make a nice keepsake each year. Also we will begin working on our Christmas songs this week. Don't forget the Christmas program is scheduled for Monday December 15th. Our book for this week are You Are All My Favorite, A Turkey For Thanksgiving, and Thanks for Thanksgiving.

Looking Ahead

Next Wednesday, November 26th, is our Friendship Feast. We would like everyone to bring an item that they could add to our Friendship Soup (trail mix). We will be reading the book Stone Soup, and we hope that the children will see that if everyone shares just a little, we all end up with a lot. This is a lesson that we all need to be reminded of. Don't forget our Christmas Program is Monday December 15th. This year we will end the program with a Family Sing-Along. Here is the catch. I will teach the children a song that they will in turn teach to you. We will see what good listeners everybody is!

Please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for both indoor and outdoor play. We really need to be out when possible - please send winter coats hats and mittens. Thank you for your cooperation!

Special

I would like to thank Jace for donating craft supplies, and Josh for donating a class book! In case you were wondering we have read 73 books toward our goal of 100!  Keep up the good work. Thanks too to all those who brought books for National Young Readers Day
